The song is a tribute to a friend he lost unexpectedly, as the Nigerian rapper reflects on grief, memories, broken plans and the pain of losing someone close.
What makes the record stand out is how naturally Phyno moves between Igbo, Pidgin and English while telling a very personal story.
Then he asks everyone who has lost someone to put their lighters up.
“Healing” is not about forgetting the people we have lost. It is about learning how to live with their absence.
